Cheong Ho-Jeong, President of the Korean Association for Public Interpretation and Translation (professor at the Interpretation and Translation Module, Ingenium College of Convergence Studies, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies) published the fourth issue of International Journal InContext in November 2022. As a special paper, "Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Russia – Linguistic aspects of the current regional war and impressions for translators", was included, which approached the ongoing Ukrainian war from a linguistic perspective. Co-authored by Dulat Bakishev, a former Kazakh diplomat, and Marilyn Plumlee, an American professor of linguistics in Kazakhstan, this paper empirically demonstrates the possibility of interdisciplinary research that combines culture and language by approaching war from a linguistic and translation perspective.​
