Cheong Ho-Jeong, President of the Korean Association for Public Interpretation and Translation (professor at the Interpretation and Translation Module, Ingenium College of Convergence Studies, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies) published a special issue of the international journal INContext in August 2022. The theme of the first special issue of this journal is "Teaching and Practice of Distant Interpreting in the Pandemic Era," which contains seven papers with insights into the reality and educational environment of remote interpretation that have been undergoing rapid changes since the pandemic. Guest-edited by Andrew K.F. Cheung of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, this feature covered the crisis and opportunities facing international conference interpretation education and training during the pandemic, remote testing methods for international conference interpreters, and changes in the Japanese interpretation market due to the introduction of remote interpretation.​
