Koh Younghoon, a board member of the Korean Association for Public Interpretation and Translation (professor at the College of Occidental Languages, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies) published a translation of Producing Prosperity on April 19, 2019. In “Restoring American Competitiveness”, Harvard professors Gary Pisano and Willy Shih state that the weakening competitiveness of the U.S. manufacturing industry stems from the devastation of industrial communities caused by global outsourcing, and they make suggestions as to what the nation, business and academia should do to revive the U.S. manufacturing industry. Published in the 2009 Harvard Business Review, the paper was named McKinsey Consulting's Best Paper of the Year. After the publication of this paper, the Obama administration's manufacturing revival policy was implemented, and the two authors served as advisors to various committees. It is also said that various committees created at this time are behind the ongoing U.S.-China conflict. Producing Prosperity is a book that supplements this paper and explains it to the public.​
